Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 18, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of NeighborHoof Watch (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

1. The Service

NeighborHoof Watch provides software to help equine rescue organizations manage horse care records, volunteer scheduling, and related operations. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the Service.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Organizations and roles

Data within the Service is organized by organization. Members are granted access based on their role (such as owner, staff, lead, or volunteer). The organization owner is responsible for managing membership and permissions and for the conduct of members they invite.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Some features require a paid subscription, billed to the organization owner through our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by law. Prices may change with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Upload content that infringes others' rights or that you have no right to share;
  • Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other organizations;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
6. Your data

The information you enter about your organization, horses, and volunteers remains yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that data in order to provide the Service. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeighborHoof Watch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, though certain provisions survive by their nature.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
